The Older I Get, The Less I KNOW!!! Yep You Read Right!!!

Once upon a time in a land very similar to where I now live, there was a young lad, consumed with curiosity. That lad loves school, his thirst to learn the alphabet which would enable him to read was most important to him. Doors opening to a much larger world, will quench the desire within. Absolutely no distractions at home, no television, the electronic madness of today was not on the drawing boards of engineering yet. (Thank God! Can you believe what that unthinkable boredom would do to the minds of children now?) Once his chores were completed he was free to travel anywhere through the black once meaningless scribbly nothingness of black ink. In the beginning he read biographies of all the famous people discussed in the classroom. He read all the books in his grade school library. The pleasure of satisfying the hunger of his growing imagination about "everything"  was relentless! You must understand, his whole world was family, school and Sunday school, where else would a third grader be! The simple ways back then would be uncomprehensible to a child of the modern world, would it not? We must remember simplicity helps to create imaginations. Years ago minds were not yet introduced, to the madness of the modern, fast paced mental aptitude reducing toys! Playing outside with the neighborhood kids and imagination ruled, anything and everything thought possible, because you believed. Nothing is stronger than the imagination of children. Now channel that imagination into books like, The Adventures of Sinbad traveling the seven seas. Journey to The Center of The Earth. The Three Musketeers, Knights of The Round Table, Tom Sawyer and the list is endless. A young lad with a real imagination feels these words. These books fueled his dreams!  The thirst cannot be stopped, it's magic, mystery, madcap entertainment that hurts nobody. Laughing with Mark Twain, there was no fear of words corrupting a young impressionable lad. Words are real and a young lad brought up properly, he knows this words and they're meaning. He understood cussing and slangs, given to people, by people to make themselves feel mightier, than the ones they are putting down, a youg boy's not stupid. If he has a black friend he ain't going to call him a the N word. DAMN IT! GOOD KIDS AIN'T STUPID!

The lad grows into an adult but the quest for knowledge stays. His reading becomes everything and anything in front of him. Sure he watched tv but the appetite for learning never quivers. His imagination grows and the man tries to understand.

Then one day the man was stumped, bigtime, by the biggest damn stump of a tree he ever considered, even in his younger childhood imagination. His quest had been to learn and understand, he found he had reached a standstill! Yep! There was too mailto:many!@#$ing things in life he just could not, no matter how hard he tried! His whole life has failed him and he could not rationalize why! He believed to have common sense and as reasonably intelligent. Where had he failed, he was perturbed to no end and found himself in a bit of a quandry. After way too much thinking on the subject which depressed him terribly.

So as a child to manhood and a reasonably long lifetime of gaining knowledge, he should be wise. He most certainly did not feel wise, quite the contrary. All the books and life's intelligence was for naught. After problems that come with age as in physical crappola! He woke up one day! My whole life has been for nothing, I know less now, than I ever did! My quest has been an empty jar! How can that be? To compulsively dwell on unanswerable questions serves no purpose, except sealing my coffin shut quicker, so what's the answer?

Go back to the simple pleasures in life. Be a child again, look at life from a childs perspective, cast out insidious learned traits that are destroying the human race, as I write this post! You know what they are! We live with the most information readily available than ever in human existence. Then why oh why, is simple communication, most likely at the all time worse?

I CHOOSE TO LEAVE IT THERE, ANYMORE IS RAMBLING AND I HOPE I HAVE MADE MY POINT!
I DO NOT WISH TO BECOME MORE, OF THE SAME, OF THE SAME O, SAME O, INFORMATION OVERLOAD THAT IS DISINTEGRATING HUMANITY FROM TOO MUCH, TOO MUCH! I HAVE FOUND MYSELF STRUGGLING RECENTLY TO WRITE MY SILLINESS IN THE WAY I WANT! I FIND MYSELF FALLING PREY TO THE MIND NUMBING BRAINWASHING!

I wish to get back to being me, my brand of humor. It ain't much, but it be mine! I wish to give my opinions and add my humor doing it! You must understand I'm 60 years young and just learned to type, just got my first computer only a year and a half ago. I decide to try my fingers at the keyboard and had nothing to talk about. So I accidentally began typing after taking my nighttime medicines. Seems asinine to me (I like that word.) to erase my zaniness and it become a nightly habit good or bad. I fell in love because I let my thoughts escape into oblivion and sleep like a baby.

I have found out it's too !@#$ing easy to get caught up in all the stupidity in the daily world, if we allow it! If I do nothing else than to have fun and hopefully bring a smile, a laugh to your world then I will be eternally grateful. We don't need NO MORE bad news we can do nothing about! I wish to put my whole heart into writing, THE WORLD ACCORDING TO GLENVIEW! I truly thank you for visiting my humble site and cannot believe that people from around the globe are dropping in on an old man's rambling's! 1. Just don't allow yourself to get caught up in it, be what you want to be Glen. Write the way you want to write. Block out the bad if it is too much. I wish I could myself, but I find it very hard to do all of the time.
