Fulfilling

My, my, my, my, my! When I say "I never know wha'll come outta my brain, I sure as hell ainna kiddin, nope, huh ah! That be the way I like it! Life gets so boring sometimes! Especially where I make my money! My good buddy said "my writing was cathartic." I said HUH! My ears heard the word as "catharsis. I did not have my hearing brains, amplifier-er-er thing in. You know them new digital hearing aids.

(Excuse me one moment as I send for Mark Twain to come from the spirit world to help me out! Damn! I don't have a Ouija board! HA HA! Nope! Sorry folks, you'll have to settle for Glen View! (I'm so silly, I quack myself up, sometimes, must of been Ducks somewhere in my ancestral lakes, I mean lineage!)

Back to the first paragraph before my mind interrupted me! You know I do find this totally hilarious! Why? I look up catharsis, right below it is guess what?  Yep, yer ahead of me, cathartic! Well I'll be darn! They have a similar word in meaning! Purgation, purging, purgative. I feel purgatory should be next! Or maybe that's where you think you have entered into, by reading my little world. I have heard the word purgatory all my life, let's see what my dictionary has to say about it, humm!

PURGATORY= The reading of a blog called Glen View. WHAT!!! ( A little Glen humor there!)

PURGATORY= Any state or place of temporary punishment, expiation, or remorse. Yep that's ME!

******************************************************************************

CATHARSIS is the purging of emotions or relieving of emotional tensions, especially through certain kinds of art, as tragedy or music.
Another definition is, any emotional discharge which brings about a moral or spiritual renewal or welcome relief from tension or anxiety.

CATHARTIC is purifying: producing a feeling of being purified emotionally, spiritually, psychologically as a result of an intense emotional experience or therapeutic technique. (I'm now sorry I looked that up!)

You know after reading and typing these two words and their definitions, I do feel like purgatory fits my state of mind! This post is not going easy, certainly not as expected. I thought more in terms of a funny post and it does not seem the least bit funny about now. I'm feeling tense and the emotional discharge. What I'm feeling is the thought (what the XXXX have I gotten myself into?) Nothing spiritual, I assure you! More of a sense of I need a psychiatrist!

Perhaps, if I replay the night leading up to when my ears screwed up, these two words, I can salvage something of this post. Damn, I hope so! A couple weeks ago + or - awhile, sheesh... I'm getting older by the second here! I was talking to a friend at work, talking about how much I like to type before going to bed. I sleep real good after, and have the habit of doing this most every night.

He said "catharsis."

I said "HUH!" I write this word down, only I wrote cathartic. He corrects my spelling, catharsis. So I filed that under words to look up.

I said "what's that mean?"

Me pal said, "fulfilling."

Now what can I make out of all this purgatory I have placed myself and you in? I come home after work I get me some hunger relief, because my belly is a growling. Oh, oh, oh, I get it now. I get me some of that e-m-o-t-i-o-n-a-l relief, because I have spent eight hours working in purgatory and around morons. I must vent them pent up emotions, as in p-u-r-i-f-y-i-n-g myself. All the bad thoughts out, get away you devils! I take my medicine to further purify my mind, wear my fingers out releasing anything in my mind, so that when my head hits the pillow, it's nappy time for Bozo and I sleep like a baby. Yeah... I totally get it now!

Catharsis in psychology is a type of emotional release that plays an important role in psychoanalytic therapy. See, I be saving myself a heap o money by letting my fingers do the walking on my keyboard!!!

Catharsis in literary terms is any emotional discharge which brings about a moral or spiritual renewal or welcome relief from tension and anxiety.

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT FULFILLING SUMS IT UP RIGHT NICELY FOR A POOR OLD MAN SUCH AS MYSELF! I DO LIKE PLAYING WITH THE MEANINGS OF WORDS BUT THIS PARTICULAR POST AIN'T BEEN AS FULFILLING AS MOST. I HOPE I DON'T HAVE NIGHTMARES AND THINK MYSELF BACK IN PURGATORY! I MEAN WORK! Glen

I'm pondering on a new post about the economy and the modern worker, or the lack of work with the modern worker, Ya see me and Ah- Klem been talking again, so I may be a mite confused, but will think it through. (I know scary ain't it!!!) Me again and your visiting GLEN VIEW'S... VIEWS!
