Jackanapes and Whippersnapper

How about that for a word! Jack a napes, whoo wee that sure is a good one! Mom tells me "I just put your little brother Jack down for a nap."

Jack an the apes are a messin' around because Tarzan is visitin'.

Just a playin' around, you don't mind do you? Sometimes I get me mind a goin' and lord have mercy, the things that flash thru me brain, well they're thoughts of many different colors that's for sure.

JACKANAPES An impertinent person, WHAT?

A tame monkey, WHAT?

An impertinent, presumptuous person especially a young man; whippersnapper. WHAT?

Synonyms, spoiled child, punk, rascal, devil.

So a jackanapes is an important person. No, no, no, that is not right, IMPERTINENT person.

IMPERTINENT means, not showing proper respect; rude.

Not pertinent to a particular matter; irrelevant.

PRESUMPTUOUS, ( of a person or their behavior ) failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate. "I hope I won't be considered presumptuous if I offer some advise."

Gosh darn it, I have no idee of where this post is taking me, I'mma, gonna, ride the wave!! Yee-haw!

WHIPPERSNAPPER, I love that word! Why, don't rightly know. I heard that word as a child, lets see what in tarnation it means.

I think it's a large snapping turtle, I'll use it in a sentence and see what you think, or not!

I remember, when I was but a wee lad, my daddy told me, "sonny boy, your mother tells me you been bad today, go get me a switch off the whippersnapper tree, to whip your bottom!" So I did but before he whipped my butt, I got the flimsiest branch off the whippersnapper tree, I took it to him and he laughed so hard, he could not whip me.

WHIPPPERSNAPPER, a young and inexperienced person considered to be presumptuous or overconfident.

Synonyms, upstart, stripling, pipsqueak, squirt, I love all these words.

I think there was a writer, Rudyard Stripling wasn't there? Just funning with ya, it was Rudyard Kipling!
